Clinical Research DIU in Guinea

📌 Launch of the New Clinical Research DIU in Guinea

Today marks the launch of the Interuniversity Diploma (DIU) in Clinical Research Practices, initiated by the Faculty of Health Sciences and Techniques of Gamal Abdel Nasser University of Conakry (UGANC), in partnership with the Institute of Public Health, Epidemiology and Development (ISPED) in Bordeaux.

A DIU dedicated to training in clinical research in and for low-resource settings. The training program, which will take place over a minimum period of four weeks at #CERFIG, aims to strengthen the capacities of Guinean physicians and pharmacists, as well as those from the sub-region, in the structuring and implementation of clinical research projects.

A great illustration of how clinical research can foster sustainable training dynamics and scientific cooperation.
The PREVAC / PREVAC-UP project may soon be coming to an end, but capacity building continues to extend its impact well beyond the last participant included in the clinical trial, by training the next generation of researchers.
